Champions Crowned
The 2022/23 W.O.A.A. Senior Hockey League season has concluded with its champions being crowned.

The Tavistock Royals entered the Sr. AA playoffs as the 5th seed, and took one of the toughest paths to the championship, starting off by defeating the 4th-seed Minto 81's in six games.

They then took aim at the top, defeating the defending champions and #1 seed Seaforth Centenaires, again in six games to advance to the championship series.

The Royals prevailed twice in overtime in the final to defeat the #2 seed Ripley Wolves in five games to capture their first championship since 2008.

The top-5 scorers of the 2023 Sr. AA Playoffs were:

T2 Cody Britton Ripley 7 15 22
T2 Trevor Sauder Tavistock 7 15 22
4 Miles MacLean Saugeen Shores 9 12 21

On the Sr. A side of the playoffs, the Milverton Four Wheel Drives captured their fourth Sr. A Championship, defeating the defending champion Shallow Lake Crushers with an overtime goal in Game 6 of the final series.

Shallow Lake's Mackenzie Fleming led all scorers in the Sr. A playoffs, paced by his WOAA record seven-goal performance in Game 4 of the Sr. A Championship series.
