MacKenzie Fleming - A Record Setting Performance
MacKenzie Fleming of the Shallow Lake Crushers scored seven (7) goals in a 9-7 win against the Milverton Four-Wheel Drives on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Fleming scored one goal in the first period, followed by three goals in both the second and third periods - including the game winner.
The seven goals scored by Fleming is a modern day W.O.A.A. record. This performance broke the prior record of six goals scored in a single game; previously held by Kevin Kieffer (Mildmay, 1986), Brent Armstrong (Ripley, 1988), Greg Snyder (Tavistock, 1995), Dan Schiestel (Teeswater, 1996), and Jim Bradley (Milverton, 2003). Fleming's heroics tied the "A" Championship series between Shallow Lake and Milverton at two games apiece.
